Anyone get laser eye surgery?

I went for a consultation last night, this is the second time I have done the consultation, but I have no0t had the procedure done yet. My issue is thin cornea, large pupil and high prescription, so my choices are reduced to the highest priced procedures. I am looking at around $4600 if I go with TLC vision. I had a quote from Lasik MD a couple of years ago that was about $1000 less than that, so I plan on going back to them for another consult...

Anyone have any opinions of these specific companies? Obviously I would prefer to save the $1000 or so if I could, but I do not want to make the choice on cost alone...

My sister had it done recently and she paid $2800 for the entire procedure. It was a doctor our of Kansas City and from what I can tell he did a pretty good job. I don't really know any specific companies that are better than others. However, you may try calling some of your local optometrists to see if they can recommend a surgeon (if you get the same name over and over that could be a good sign).
