do any of you get a sharp pain in the same arm your use the mouse with? upper arm, outside, not inner- sharp pain- really bad when on puter. carpel tunnel is just the wrist right?

Bad posture might cause this; repetitive movement. Age, arthritis, lack of minerals/vitamins, or an occassional pull of the chair by your significant other who wants their time in front of the computer.

Switch to the other hand. When both hands are tired throw the mouse on the floor to use your left foot then the right one.
This technique will reduce %75 your pain from just using one hand.

Your mbox is full, Smash. That might explain it; excessive PM'ing.

ah- well its empty now- sorry wasnt keeping watch on it-
but there were so many messages to move- now my arm is killing me

Or it could be the pain in your arm has to do with updating the website in your signature :-)

It also utilizes your idled part of brain.
