ArticleBoard is an automated article website using RSS and vBulletin. I created this site a few months back and it actually took a good amount of time to get it where it is. Unfortunately I've got too much on my plate right now and I haven't had the time to do any promotion other than the topsite button at the bottom. Should do really well with any promotion at all.

The site has a vbulletin backend and is really easy to admin as it runs on an RSS hack you can find over at vbulletin.org.

I did a lot of customizing so it isn't your typical vb setup. Users can submit their own articles and there is no membership setup.

Google hit it hard right off the bat and traffic has been basically the same for 4 months now. You can see last months stats here: www.articleboard.com/ABFEB.PDF (1.4 mb takes a minute to load, right click and save as is the best option)

Earnings are minimal right now but equal to about $10/mo between adsense and CPM (with 0 promotion).

I'm not eligible to transfer the vb license yet so the buyer will be responsible for acquiring their own license.

I haven't seen a site like that. There doesn't seem to be any way for a person to comment about any of the articles. That would be something to get the SEs attention I think. If you could make it into a forum about these articles, and get some people to participate, then you could have a huge winner.

I've never used a vBulletin.. What's involved in moving content to a new liscence and can this transaction occur without downtime when moving to my server.?

You can do basically anything vbulletin can do with this site including any SEO hacks. I turned the membership function off but it would be pretty easy to get it back.

Transfer w/ little downtime is quite simple. Especially if you have a cpanel server. The license issue won't have an impact as you can use the same files. You'll just need to purchase your own license.

I'll give you $250 for it if you will upgrade VB to the current version before transfer. Also, would you it be possible for you to list any special things that need to be done during future upgrades, since you mentioned that you made a lot of customizations?

The site has been upgraded to vb 3.5.4

There are no special requirements for future upgrades.
The only thing to remember is that when uploading the new version files not to upload the images folder.
All of the customizations are in the templates and the upgrader skips any templates that have been modified.
Just follow the standard vb upgrade instructions and you're good to go.

I'll offer you access to my account to make the transfer. It is really a simple process but I'm not going to guarantee you anything with the transfer as I don't know you're server setup. There's no reason to think there will be a problem though.

The process is:
Transfer all the files to your server
backup the database
create a database on your server
dump the backup onto your server
Change the DNS settings to your server
As soon as the DNS settings propigate the site is live on your server.
No downtime.

If you have a cpanel server we can simply do an import and change the DNS which is even easier.

I can help but the reason I'm selling the site is because I don't have very much time....
