There are lots of rules and regulations with regards to purchasing Aussie domain names.

A lot of overseas people also think that only Australian's can buy Aussie domain names. This is not true, as there are other legitimate ways to do so. And it is not so difficult or expensive either.

If anyone is interested in getting further info, please message me. I have assisted a number of US and Canadian domainers.

With respect to you and your offer, I would not advise anyone to go down this path. auDA (our administrator) would view this very badly if they discovered anyone doing this. You would lose the domain, plus possibly have your whole account audited by them.

5. BREACHES OF POLICY

5.1 Where a registrant has made a false warranty to the registrar, or otherwise acted in bad faith in order to obtain the domain name licence, auDA reserves the right to revoke the domain name licence.

There are legitimate ways to register Aussie domain names if you live outside of Australia. I have posted about this previously.

I agree with DNTrade on this. It is not worth doing things the questionable way when it can be done legitimately. Not worth the risk to investment.

I made a post on how to do things here on DNFORUM

If anyone needs any further information feel free to drop me a line, for example we can file trade mark applications and obtain ARBNs for non Australian residents

We have had a lot of interest from overseas domainers for online trademark registration services for Australia. As outlined earlier in this post a trademark gives you an entitlement to register .au domain names.

We have set up a cost effective solution, where you still get a human preparing your application but it only takes you 5 minutes to complete an application online - www.trademark.net.au
