how does the back order process work? does it mean if i back order a domain before anyone else does... does that mean i get it.... or does it depend on which company you use?

It depends on which company you use (whoever's partner registrar "catches" it first) but if several people from the same service backorder it, it'll usually go to auction.

But if you don't get it - hope is not lost, try to register it with your registrar every few days, a lot of tasters pick up domains - I've gotten several this way (and it's nice to only pay $7 as opposed to $60-$70).

yeah i am going to wait till it get done with this auction process at afternic and then i will back order once its done... the name just came from tucows where it expired and then sent the afternic for auction and then after that i believe it goes to expired maybe a few days or weeks after not to sure
