I have just sold a domain for $150+ on Bazaar, but the buyer insists I push the name before he sends the money.

I asked for his feedback rating on bazaar but ignored, and stated 'i want to get the name first :)'

He has a hong kong yahoo email address.

Any ideas?

Do not transfer the name before payment - offer Escrow if he wishes at his or shared cost.

A Copy/paste from the bazaar Buyers guide:
"If you are unsure of sending funds to a seller on the promise of a transfer, you can use our optional escrow service at a special Bazaar price of $30. "

Thanks Mr Webname and anyweb, great help :-)

That sounds fishy. I wouldn't give him the name unless he paid up front.

But that's the dilemma. Both parties are suspicious of the other, and the amount ($150) doesn't seem to justify escrow. Hmm ...

Well I haven't heard from him so looks like a scam. Good job I didn't push the name.

Good thing you held back. I got scammed off sometime back and learnt the hard way.

Well yesterday I sent this after getting a little impatient..

> Hi Tony;

and got this back to today..

"hi
you must push it first after i will send you money"

And thats it. I mentioned the escrow once again to get no reply..

:-(

Sounds really really suspicious to me.

Beware.

I ain't sending nothing until the $ comes in. Simple!

Could be newbie though
Offer to change the DNS to his/her choice before payment to verify you are serious

Do Afternic escrow for $30 ... still leaves you with $120 which beats $0 you'll likely get otherwise.

Ron

Not heard anything so must be a scammer.

fu*king punks :-)
