best password manager?

What do you folks recommend for a password manager.


I am tired of forgeting the hundreds of passwords I have around the web for so many sites/emails..etc....

seems like a good one.
Written in Java though. I wonder If I need to add any software. hmmmm.

This part scares me, but I guess its good protetcion.
Knowing myself, I am bound to forget the password to the password manager...

BTW, Symantec seems to have released a password manager program, and according to the reviews at amazon it really sucks.

I use this one Password Agent, havent crashed once.

Doesnt mess with Windows registry, you can take the program with you on a thumbdrive.

However since I now bought a Siemens SX1 Im considering this one

Concist of a desktopprg and a prg for the phone. So I can have the passwords with me.

Now, if I add the Opera-browser to my phone, Im ready for the summer without missing any good deal on dnforum :-D

Thou shalt not use anything other than your heart to store your passwords; but of course, you should not have more than a dozen of passwords at any time in the first place.

For critically important stuff like lauching nuclear warheads, you *could* write down that 52-character long passphrase on paper and lock it in a safe, the key of which should be memorized by heart of course. LOL!

I typed some random letters, like so

ndh74hgfgd7wdslfsbdj

copy it into notepad, then I paste it into the password field.
Even I don't know my password.

lower security are just in another text file like secret.txt

DNForum bionic xxxxxxxx
Pool [email protected] yyyyyyy
Godaddy ....

you can zip that with a winzip password if you want a master password on that.
winzip can be cracked though.
