OK, which is the BEST registrar?

Right now I'd have to say==>

#1 MONIKER
#1 BULK REGISTER (tie)

Both have great interfaces, great pricing, great management, and great customer service.

Here are my other top picks==>

#2 000DOMAINS
#2 GODADDY (tie)

#3 DOTSTER

I like the way you worded it Hal.. "Right now I'd have to say.."

Lately Godaddy has been working out really nicely for me.

Registerfly continues to offer some of the best tools around..I've sold 4 names on regflys domain market and purchased 3 .

You have easy access to your complete purchase history, every transaction .

Push's are easy and fast .

and the domain market place is a nice addition ..

You can purchase names not only with payapl and stormpay..but also with EMO..electronic money orders !

Price's are good at both places.

Godaddy has great support , regfly has amoungst the worst .

I would also need to go with Moniker which seems to offer a complete package. We are just getting started with them and our experience has been very pleasant so far.

GoDaddy is good, but I wish they would give their back ordering service a shot of steroids.

I don't like RegFly. It still lists domains in my account that I transferred out a long time ago. I find that very very annoying. It makes portfolio management a nightmare.

Namecheap are bad in that respect. They still show names in my account that I transferred out 9-10 months ago.

1. Moniker
2. Enom
3. Dotster

I have moved all my estonian domains to moniker
enom - I have all domains that I have parked in PPC, because enom has really good multible domain edit (global edit) I can change host setting for all my domains if I like. I have not seen this kind service in other registrars.
dotster - have some domains that I have caught with namewinner, but if renewal date comes --->enom.

eNom doesn't belong on this list.

My personal opinion is that the management and the customer service is poor, the interface keeps listing domains even after they have been transferred out, the interface causes other major errors such as not updating to the WhoIs properly and not sending authorization emails to admin contact.

Plus, once a domain expires, they whack you for a huge renewal premium.

About the only thing I really like is the easy inter account "push."

+++++++++++++++

Maybe I misspoke. Perhaps it is a very high rate because I register so few names there. I receive many pushes to my eNom account, but I don't register new ones or renew.

I have one expired name now, and they want $29.95 to renew. The heck with that!

Hello Stuff,

Moniker has the global edit tools as well. You can view and change up to 5000 names at one time at Moniker.

Just wanted to let you know. Let me know if I can assist you with this.

$29.95 sounds like the normal price they charge to people who don't have retail $8.95 accounts or resller accounts.

I was simply amazed with moniker today.
Super support, never seen anything like it.

I had a domain that apparently expired (my CC wasnt working on their system).
I viewed whois, and I assumed one of my failed attempt must have worked since it showed it had a year added.
Guess what. It didnt succeed, and it was still with moniker (well over a month after it expired).
I called support, and got to the right person RIGHT away, no waiting, no holding...
I gave my CC details over the phone and renewed 2 domains.
and... we all know that they are the most secure registrar on the net.
These people deserve a loud and clear BRAVO.

I am now considering transferring my valuable and high security risk domains to moniker.

Thank you Moniker - from a happy customer.

Hi Monte

Did not know that! Thanks I will try it out

Now only a nice reseller program, and it would be all that I need :)

Reseller system coming by the end of the summer. Should be great given all the re-seller experience that we had prior to Moniker.com. I posted a feedback post several weeks ago asking everyone for advice on what we should have in the system.

Feel free to email or post your suggestions to me.

dotster:

"The domains above have gone into the Redemption Period. They can no longer be renewed by normal means, but you can reactivate them by clicking the following link and following the instructions. The cost for reactivation is $99.95 + the normal renewal fees. This is your FINAL CHANCE TO RETRIEVE OWNERSHIP OF THESE DOMAINS BEFORE THEY BECOME AVAILABLE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC."
