Maybe I am missing something here but don't people who have bi-polar problems take medication for it?

Yes, but they can forget, not get the correct dosage, or may not always work well.

Backed as in bankrolled :)

Someone backs you/pays your fee for a cut ( usually large ) should you win.

This happens in chess tournaments too. A well-known grandmaster was infamous for raising money by selling cuts of his prize money to multiple backers, to the point where he had sold more than 100% of his potential prizes ... and therefore couldn't afford to win!

Well more than 100% would be funny...

Basically a tourney will have a fee of X, if a guy is a good player and has a chance at finishing in the money than there is a chance a backer will pay the entry fee for a cut of the winnings. In fact a guy I play with regularly in Niagara backed a guy a year or two ago and I think he made out with $400k.

Why not compensate the seller for the time and aggravation you caused him?, Did you make any kind of offer like that?...

Yes, I've made him offers like that. I've tried working out some sort of cash settlement and I've also offered to give him value in domain names. My efforts were met with a PM back saying "**** you".

Rather than try and make the best out of a bad situation, he'd rather launch a smear campaign. He's made numerous posts on forums. He's emailed friends and family. And he's even gone as far as sending out a "press release" to poker magazines and news sites. Oppo has made it pretty clear to me that there's only one way for him to be satisfied, and that is to wire him $31k.

I understand the desire to want to make somebody hurt after you feel like they've screwed you. The simple truth is, sometimes in life you find yourself on the wrong side of an argument and there's not anything you can do to make the other person happy.

Well you could alway hawk a 2006 WSOP bracelet ;)

I can kick it off at $1250 lol

Its been done before.

Dutch,

You still owe me $500 from a previous agreement. Don't want to make that public, so please, I know you mean well, paypal me my money.

EDIT: I did meet dutch and when HES NOT manic he is a very cool, reputable guy. This was in summer 2008 for the WSOP. VERY generous, flew me out, treated me to some food, very nice girlfriend. Many admirers in the poker world. Now when he is, its completely different. He did offer me $1million+ for some domains, and I knew he was manic at that time, so I declined. He IS a stand up guy when not MANIC, but when he is manic, dutch, you and your friends, you need to disconnect your internet and not attempt to make any sales..

Thanks,
Sam

I have bi-polar also real bad.. I tried commiting suside but never bidded on a domain name & didnt pay. But then theres the fact of bi-polar rolling in. You have to learn how to control it. Also learn your differnt moods. I learned my differnt moods got help and now I am on medicine. If you can send the guy some money then I guess that would be better then nothing and make things right.,

I dont understand if sedo delt with your name i thought sedo.com would have to pay you if somthing went wrong . But im not sure how the law works if you just transferd it to his account i think it could be very hard work for you to get it back , The person is obviously a fraudster but watch out incase you lawyer bill goes through the roof . I have herd in the past banks have made a mistake transfering large amounts of cash to the wrong bank account and its up to that person to transfer it back .
Good luck with getting your name back people need to be more care full fraudsters can be very skillful at what the do .

So we could see you on the TV Show "Poker After Dark"
