I'd would venture to say you're wrong, but to each his own.

Personally speaking, as an immense music fan who keeps up with all music- They do not encompass the core/talent to make groundbreaking music, that could potentially cross genres and collectively be loved by many.

Perhaps, a handful more, if that. Point being, your personal preference aside, Blink 182 was nowhere close to what you described. At least in my opinion. That's not to take away from the group, I just think you made a bold statement that needs to be corrected. Better yet, not corrected, but rather disputed. :approve:

I think Blink 182 played an important role for many teenagers to discover other punkrock/punkbands.

Personally, Blink 182 was the first punkrockband I knew. Afterwards I started to discover/appreciate other great punk/hc bands. Without blink 182 I don't think I was involved in the daily punk/hardcore scene.
