Unbelievable. I hope they catch these friggen spammers and put evry one of them in jail or fine the shit out of them. I have a brand new gmail account, about a week old, nobody has that address. Already the spam starts to flow in. Spam is the ultimate disgrace of the net. And then that phishing with spam thing. UGH.

Same, the spam is starting to come in and I've never posted my gmail address anywhere.
Also spam buildup on my [email protected] recently.

i have a few gmail accounts which i have never given out and they get 30+ spam emails a week in, my hotmail accounts get 1 or 2 spam emails a month

seems like its something with gmail and spam! I'm getting loads in gmail and not much in other accounts.

My hunch is that they are just subbing the gmail.com tld into there existing spam lists.

If you registered a generic or dictionary address with gmail you might be getting affected. Or, like NexSite said, the spammers might be taking pre-existed lists of hotmail accounts and substituting it with the "gmail" part.

or it could be just gmail testing there spam filters as its still in beta testing :santa:

GMail has very poor filters. MSN(Hotmail) and AOL are very good.
