Hi there,

Sometime back I remember reading a quote by a search engine guru who said that a certain percentage of all searches are NOT done by the various engines. Instead, they are done directly through the address bar.

For instance, if someone is looking for golf clubs, instead of going to Google or somewhere else, they would just type "www.golfclubs.com" into the address bar of their browser window.

But my memory isn't what it used to be, and I don't remember who said it, nor do I remember what percentage of searchers actually search this way.

Can anyone help me out?

Thanks in advance,
Tom
