I was working on putting together this website JustinaFund.com for a 4 year old girl who is hospitalized after suffering brain damage because of negligent hospital staff....read story....

The site was not finished but I uploaded it to a webhost and was using a subdomain to reach it so that I could show potential donors and hospitals info as it is critical to get help as quickly as possible for this child. I had the domain name HelpJustina.com in the site title etc...but did not register the domain name as the mother had to approve the name, content etc...

I teach basic computer skills at local government funded institution to the elderly, unemployed and school leavers. I told them about the plight of this young child and what I was doing and said the site when launched would be called HelpJustina.com....Apparently some students went searching for the site that week before it was launched and when I went to register the site, I realized it was registered that same week by a company called Redregister (Domainers I presume) and parked. They were sent an email asking if they would consent to selling the domain name and told the circumstances but they never replied. They even have the mother's Surname, which is not the same as the child's as part of the parked page. I had to redesign the site and change everything from HelpJustina.com to Justinafund.com .

Are domainers so desperate for money, that they would seek to profit from a child's misery?

Anyone familiar with Redregister.com?

Apparently, they were tasting because I have checked today...13th April and its available but when I checked last week it was registered until 3 April 2008.
We have decided to stay with the name we have now....

How would they know that people were searching for HelpJustina.com website, unless they had breached some browser security or use some sort of spyware?

Or could they (Redregister) have just come up with the name or have a sick relative called Justina?

Does anyone know of a good children hospital in USA,Canada or England which offer the type of treatment she needs. She has had two heart attacks, the last one two weeks ago when a nurse was changing her trachea tube and could not get it back in....I am donating my services to the child and mother and charging nothing for my efforts.

I will PM a list of 4 page rank domains or 4 LLLL.coms (expired) for registration to anyone giving me good contacts to hospitals or rehab centers for this child....

Help us please...time is running out for her....

Its a big problem with a lot of registrar and whois websites lately. I doubt these people did this with the thought they were hurting anyone. Its just done automatically. When searches are done for names by you or me they are often regged by companies or themselves shortly after. Usually if they don't get any traffic they will be dropped 5 days later. So keep a watch out. I'm not sure which sites but you'd be best to register your names as soon as you find they are available these days. If domain tasting wasn't allowed this wouldn't be an issue. Hopefully domain tasting days are numbered but its hard to say.

I'm not sure about hospitals myself but there is a good childrens hospital here in ottawa. http://www.cheo.on.ca/ and london ontario has a good one too
http://www.chwo.org/ I'm not sure if it will help at all but here are urls. Good luck.

Quickly delete that link, you don't want traffic going to that site.

were saying to delete helpjustina(.)com from your post, because the search engine spiders through this web site, and it will appear in the search engines, so edit your post right now, or add (.) to before the com like i did.

yes, i agree. you need to be very careful whenever you post domains, even here on dnforum, if i posted that a business offered me 50K to buy example.com for 50k dollars and no other tlds were taken, how fast do you think the other tlds would be regd?

:bolt:

thats the business, aside from that, i think domainers and forum members here are much more giving than the average person, there was another thread where a member posted his parents home burned down, he posted to 2different related forums, dnf members contributed large donations and the other contributed there 2 cents and not much else. i am very sorry to hear about Justina, i hope the parents setup a fund and hire a injury attorney, please keep us posted.

Yes, especially if you can delete it four days later for a quarter.

Does anyone know of a good children hospital in USA,Canada or England which offer the type of treatment that Justina needs.

I'm not sure, but the first thing that came to mind was the Shriners hospitals for children: http://www.shrinershq.org/. Here's the wikipedia profile. Wikipedia doesn't necessarily have all info, and it is fallible. Some of the Shriners hospitals might provide the treatment she needs, and apparently for free.

Shriners Hospitals for Children is a network of 22 pediatric hospitals across North America that provide all care at no charge.
There's also this hospital for children: http://www.chop.edu/consumer/index.jsp

Yes. When it's that important, don't even check it at a non-registry whois site or registrar unless you're ready to register right away. Unless I'm mistaken (anyone?) you should instead check here at the registry if it's a .com if you're not ready to register immediately: http://registrar.verisign-grs.com/whois/

Agree with Focus and Nova thing is ...I think students checking on the domain name and getting the 404 error may have let the cat out of the bag....

Check your PM, DomainsInc and Nova...I have sent you expired pagerank domain names and thanks again for the hospital links...we will check them out...

all others are welcome to send me links to hospitals or rehab centres in your country.....the offer of pagerank or 4 LLLL domains still stands once the link is valid and the hospital real.....
