question Can transfer, DNS, and payment confusion kill a good domain sale?

This is a general or domain name related question.

I'm curious how much the buying process affects end-user domain sales. A domain investor may see the deal as simple: agree on price, pay, transfer the name. But many end users do not fully understand the steps. They may worry about escrow, EPP codes, transfer locks, registrar accounts, DNS changes, email interruption, renewal cost, or how long the transfer will take.

So even if they like the domain, the process can still feel risky or confusing.

Have you ever lost a buyer because they were unsure about the transfer or post-purchase steps? What part creates the most hesitation: payment, transfer, DNS, renewal cost, or something else?

10000000% normal users haven't heard of Sedo, escrow processes and the rest.. can be very very daunting to an unexperienced buyer. .. and, even to fresh/green brokers :)
