Hi all,

Need some feedback here. Hope that someone could help explain to me.

I bought this domain base on google keyword search. And never really thought about it much until recently when I was clearing and organizing my portfolio.

I found out that this domain has a PR3. I was like :?:

Then I did a backlink search and found that the link came from David Kesmodel, author of new book 'The Domain Game' (still looking for this book here locally unfortunately none available)

Anyway, in his article some 2006 ago, he wrote an ariticle which I can not really really understand. It was titled Marchex-owned Names Might Raise Infringement Concerns

The company owns — and is seeking to derive advertising revenue — from several names that might prompt complaints of trademark infringement from large corporations. They include ibmlaptops.com, ibestbuy.com, chasemortgagega.com, cheapdisneytickets.com and carnivalsinglescruises.com. Each site features a link at the bottom that says “advertise on this network”; the link explains the Marchex pay-per-click advertising network.

ibmlaptops, chasemortgagega and disneytickets I can understand....

CarnivalSinglesCruises?? That I don't get...

Anyone can help me shade some light?

Many thanks in advance

Just type in Carnival on Google and you'll see.

Well, I have actually done that. I thought carnival in itself is a word for partying cruise for singles.

hehe... my bad...

When I stumble upon the domain that was what I assumed or thought. But when I found out that it had a PR3 I started doing some search

I did search on:
Carnival Cruise WIPO
Carnival Cruise Infringement

Nothing interesting came up. But I never did Carnival trademark search until a moment ago and found this..

http://www.carnival.com/CMS/Static_Templates/Copyright.aspx

But it does say Carnival Cruise Line is a trademark but not Carnival Single Cruises...

Well, anyway I guess I got another trademark domain under my belt.... :)
