CC And Cheque Processing

Can anybody recommend any good companies to work with for processing payments on a new site?.. I've been through them all over the years so i thought i would see who is good these days.

I dont want to process thge typical subscription payments etc.. this will be processing larger ticket payments which are invoiced out to clients etc..
