CIRA has posted the video from their AGM on their home page. www.cira.ca
You can click and view the video featuring the CIRA Board president, CEO Byron Holland and meeting keynote speaker Amber MacArthur talking about web 2.0 and social networks.
I think posting the video is an excellent idea! It is long, but it has a lot of great information and insights into CIRA plans and policies for .ca. The taped question and answer section is also helpful.
Just a few highlights:
- over 470+ .ca names registered each day
- 76% renewal rate
- CIRA plans more emphasis on marketing & building .ca brand in coming year
- no plans to open registry up to "non residents"
- Q&A session has insightful questions from small business owners, tm concerns, policies, etc.
As mentioned, video of entire meeting is long, but loaded with great information.
