Dear .CA Registrant,
On June 12, 2012, the Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA) will be performing a system upgrade to further improve our .CA registry system. The upgrade will result in a more secure and responsive system for Registrars to work with.
In order to successfully complete the upgrade there will be a 24 hour service outage from 9:00 a.m. (ET) on June 12 to 9:00 a.m. (ET) on June 13.
During this time, certain Registrant transactions will be impacted. Please note that your .CA domain(s) will continue to function normally throughout the service outage.
The following Registrant transactions will be impacted during the service outage:
* Registrants will not be able to submit new .CA domain registrations during the service outage.
* Registrants will not be able to approve their CIRA Registrant Agreement during the service outage.
* Registrants will not be able to update or renew existing .CA domain names during the service outage.
* Domain names in the Add Grace Period and the Redemption Grace Period scheduled to expire during the service outage will be extended by 24 hours.
* The To Be Released list will not be accessible during the service outage.
* WHOIS will not be accessible during the service outage.
* Registrants who are .CA Members will not be able to access the Member website during the service outage.
* CIRAâs Election website (CIRAElections.ca) will be offline during the service outage.
* Full Registrant services will return at 9:00 a.m. (ET) on June 13, 2012.
