company typo

Hi,

Theres a company that owns a typo domain of their companys domain name...its a .com and has an overture w/et of over 500 a DAY.

I would suspect that the actual type ins a day are much much more.



Their main home page domain gets 8,000+ over w/ext.



Anyway they have owned this domain for over 5 years... and they have NEVER had it redirect to their home page or anything.


I would say the domain most likely gets somewere in the 3,000 - 10,000 range in typeins a day.

I would guesstamate that if the the domain was pointed to say- domain sponsor that it would make somewere in the $10,000 - $20,000 a month range....maybe more


I know they would not want to "park" the domain...but they are loosing a lot of money in sales not having this domain redirct to there main website.



Do you think they would be willing to pay something to the person that points this out to them?

If so,..any suggestions on how to go about doing this?

perhaps send a letter to inquire about purchasing the domain from them, since they are not using it.

if they ask why
then say " your company buys and sells unused domains "

maybe you'll get a response.
