The internet never ceases to amaze me! Everything has it's price. Thru out the years I have seen generic Yahoo email accounts, and Ebay user names going for big chunks of money as the demands for these items are similar in a lot of respects to domain names. It's all about branding and brandability.

I was just wondering if anybody caught some good user names for their gmail accounts?

I myself got:

WorkFromHome@
MakeMoney@
HomeJobs@
TechJobs@
MakingMoney@
HomeBasedBusiness@
Opportunities@
Freebie@
Freebies@
FreeMoney@

which I feel are a great catch for my industry :)

I got [email protected]

going to use it for just that, as a place to store larger files, site/logo designs etc.

Some nice one's there Android. Don't forget to keep them active, so Google doesn't deactivate them. :approve:

BTW, I was wondering who "therapist" was going to be :-O

Are you sure about that, I have 7 GMail accts, 1 of them used very actively, more than 25% full already (spams) and never encountered even 1 popup yet and if you are wondering, no, I do not have any popup blocker running.

I was referring to mail.com. If anyone has a gmail invite I might swap one of these mail.com or usa.com addresses for one :)

Mail.com
promotions
domainnames
webdesigns
brokers
brokerage
suscribe
domainsales
unsuscribe
pop3
baseball
webhosting
dealership
automobiles

USA.com
webdesign
comments
webdesigns
lms
4sale
shipping
ads
submit
football
webhosting
inbox
mailinglist

If they had some sort of a notification when new mail had arrived, or let you use outlook, I would use it full time without a doubt.

My email hosting is terrible, and I even tried mailblocks.com and I don't like it..

The IMAP is really annoying.

it's been down numerous times, etc.

It's sad, I couldn't even get [email protected], [email protected] and the service hasn't even opened!

I had my invite pretty early on too!

Same here. My first and last names were already sucked up. I think there are going to be some high sales of some of the generic id's..just my opinion tho :)

I think I just found a solution to my problem for now.

I had added the gmail site to my desktop.

there is a way to do so in XP.

it stretches right across my screen, I will have to refresh it when I want to check though, but at least it will be a lot more accessable..

do you know their methodology/rules for deactivating?

Nah, just what I read in their terms of use policy. Since I have 4 myself, I am just going to send an email out from my main Yahoo account, to those four once a week. Then respond back to myself :)
Just to be safe.
