Do you think that Tucows paid too much for Enom? Purchase price was $83.5 million with $73 million in cash.

NameCheap just started doing direct registrations for .com, .net, .org. Plans to migrate away from Enom reselling, which means domains will get gradually transferred at renewal. NC is 30% of Enom business.

Do you see this deal a pro or con for domain aftermarket?

I despise enom. Good riddance. I hope Tucows cleans house. I moved all my domains out but would consider them again if their business practices improve. At this point I see no need to use them

From what I've read, the business has been run into the ground. Better registrars out there.
