I want to create slideshows of my digital photos for play on normal DVD players (for televisions). Any suggestions/comments from my fellow geeks?

I'm willing to spend $50, which rules out some $100 - $600 packages.

I tried Ulead's package. Nice, but has problems:
- when I point to a folder of digital files, it is SLOW... it tries to thumbnail the 900 photos, and takes 3 seconds EACH. Computer is locked up during that time. If you cancel and re-enter, it restarts the same process!! Ug!
- My files are 4MB (2000x3000), more resolution than needed for TV, but this software copies in ALL of that, wasting at least 50% of the space. Unacceptable as digital photos go to even higher resolutions!

MemoriesOnTV:
- No way to turn OFF the cheesy, slow transition effects
- Poor quality on TV playback, massive difference from Ulead package

Will try today:
-ArcSoft
-Photo2DVD

Any others?

Thanks!
