MD, where I come from my word is worth all the money I have.

If I post sold and then don't honour it, trading on a board becomes impossible, not to mention in real life or business.

There is a 'loss of opportunity' for the seller when someone posts sold - the seller is free to pursue it as he sees fit within the framework of the marketplace. Sedo / Afternic will BAN a user for non-payment.

I don't even want to count the number of times that I've taken a loss coz I'd given my word, for whatever reason.

90% of the agreements I've had have been about someone saying 'yes' and sticking to it. The 10% who don't stick to commitments, I don't do business with, ever again.

But then that's just me. And before you go around calling people names for your mistake I think you need to take a deep breath and analyse it from a distance. Is this something you want associated with your name, specially on this board and specially in this business?

Some people here depend on their sales for living, who are you to judge if this is a serious matter for someone or not. Obviously as you can see, for 99% of the domainers this is serious - this is how we do business around here.

I usually don't bother posting in threads like this but take a breather. You may think you haven't said anything wrong but your tone is very angry and it is rubbing people the wrong way. This is a great forum so please, don't start off like this. You've already made a couple of deals which is great but you made a mistake on this one, you've fixed it so let's move on.
