Clicking on that site locked me up and caused me to have to re-boot to avoid the media-motor active x download.

What's with that? Is that what the kids run into?

I havent had a problem with the activex pop ups. The run on my computer fine. I have downloaded media-motor before and removed it fairly easily.

The site locked me up too. This is not a practice I'd recommend to any webmaster.

For me, the site only offered the option to download the media-motor active x, The site should provide an opt-out of that and NOT require any effort to remove the program anyway. These sites need to learn that it's NOT right to load a visitor up with crap they don't ask for.

Specially a site visited by kids. Imagine a poor kid using his dad's computer and looking for an innocent Barney icon, and ending up filling the computer with crap and causing all kind of problems.
