What's the deal with hiring domain brokers? For example, through SEDO. Do you have to pay the application fee even if the acquisition is not succesful? Are they good at it?

Thanks!

YES

Are they good at it?

NO

They give up very easy and collect the $69 anyway...

if you got crap names, no one will broker them anyway.

and if you got good to great names, then you don't need a broker.

I'm not selling! I'm trying to buy and was considering using a broker because I can't get hold of the owner of the domain name.

Talk to our very own DNF'er Rock, he'll do better than any of those guys.

I'm not sure what you mean? Is DNF'er Rock a member here? How do I get in touch with him? ....or are you just pulling my leg?

Thanks!
I think he mean DNForum member "Rockefeller".
Send him PM.

Yes Copper is correct, sorry I was being brief, Rock is like his nickname. Yes, send him a PM, he's a nice guy.

A big NO on good at it. My experience in the past was I negotiated a much better buy price direct after the Sedo broker barely even tried to negotiate a good price with seller and she was also condescending to me.
