you have say, 100 names- would you move them faster, and make more, by leaving as domains, or developing them to some extent- even if it just a simple website of sorts-

do people want the sites? or just the names and they develop as they see how the site should be in their eyes?

can developing be a waste of time?

Building a site can obviously build traffic and get PR, also the earnings are usually much higher than that earned through just parking a domain. Development though will cost either time or money or both. I have now started on a program of developing all my domains and should someone want one just for the domain name then they will of course have to pay the 'site' price for it.

Unless the domain has an immediate market and potential buyers I would generally think of developing as the best option.

yeah, i am thinkin that too- trim out a bunch of names, but build something with those that i saw a clear vision- i was thinking that may help a buyer visualize-

Developing is not a waste of time provided you come up with something that doesn't look cookie-cutter. Consumers just shy away of sites that look like any other.
IMO domains with low traffic are good candidates for development. If they don't earn enough with PPC, develop.
Good content is one thing, but if you provide users with a service they will want to come back. For example I get a lot of people looking for IP/browser info or pics and coming back
