Domain Owners with Thousands of names.

Earlier in the forum, Americar and WilliamC were talking about someone named Michelle with over 25k names registered so far. I try to keep up with who the larger registrations belong to, especially when new players start acquiring large quantities.

I don't immediately recognize a "Michelle". Does anyone else ?

How many domain owners would you estimate own at least 25,000 .com domains ?

 

I'd say not that many. The renewal fees on 25k domains are pretty heavy (at $6.95 its $173,750) so they would need to be pro's in terms of sales/conversion or else have serious disposable income from elsewhere.

I think its possible to accumulate fairly quick by reinvesting the profits. But I was thinking if there were only 100, thats 2,500,000 names then or somewhere about 10% or more of the total .com registrations.

Michelle Dinoia from Italy is one of the best drop catchers around and has some great names. I'm not sure if this is the Michelle you're referring to though.
