I own a website thats getting roughly 2500+ visitors and plenty of page views per month.

I would like to sell links, advertising and maybe a sponsorship spot.

I would like to prove the stats in cPanel, but how can I allow someone to have a look without having access to all the administrative features in cPanel (for security)?

Much help is appreciated!

Do a screen capture image and post it on one of your pages for visitors to check.

or maybe install :
a) a remotelly hosted stats service- ex www.addfreestats.com
b) a stat service installed on your server(see AWSTATS)
Of course, if you're in a hurry, Mr Webname's solution is best

webalizer store its stats in the tmp directory. Copy that your-domain.com directory in the tmp directory and put it in public_html and change permission to 755.

That tmp directory is located out of public_html.

Well, my description sucks, but you try to explore the file manager in CPanel.

Doh! Thats brilliant. I never thought of that, that's why I love forums. I just did it with my new www.freelance411.com/stats It now gives the viewer an accurate snapshot that is current to the moment I copied the files over.

For those curious, this is what i did.

Went to my freelance411 account on my server.

Opened the yellow "public_html" file folder

Created a new dir in "public_html" called "stats" (default chmod is 755)

Back to home

Opened the yellow "temp" file folder(usually the one under public_html)

Opened the yellow "webalizer" file folder

Selected all of the files in the "webalizer" folder.

Copied them over to the yellow file folder "stats" in public_html

and they are there for all to see. www.freelance411.com/stats

LOL

Seriously it took me about 45 seconds to do this. Definitely no more than a capture/upload

My anal instructions are always layed out as if the reader knows little. :)

The reason this is better than a screen shot is..well...have you ever seen some of the screen shots that are presented here? hehe :smartass:
