My reason -
the score is 1 to 0 because:
The game score comes from how many letters the two country names have in common in their name starting from the left

and to determine who won:
Trinidad ruled by dictatorship

trinidad 0 turkey 3 because that if you follow the results down the list it starts at 0-1 again so next would be 0-3?????

How about a little hint? Does the round # and the year # have anything to do with the winner in each game?
 
The pattern along the left side of the bracket the pattern is 2 loss - 1 win - 2 loss ... etc trinidad loses 1 to 0

Neither have anything to do with the answer.
 
Another clue - the answer has nothing to do with the number of or sequence of any of the letters in any of the team's names.
