Hello,

I am selling the domain name EROTIQUE.FR

This is a prime generic french domain with lots of upside potential.
It receives around 90 visits per day from type-ins.

Average daily revenue from Sedo is at €2.34 per day. (We are obviously not maximizing revenue by having this name on Sedo ;)

You can click here to view a screenshot of the stats.

Asking EUR 7500 for this domain.

Feel free to post any questions or to discuss this privately via PM.

Thanks!

The conditions to own a .fr were relaxed last year, but you still need to either reside in france or have a company registered in france in order to own one.

You can read the specifics on the AFNIC website: http://www.afnic.fr/obtenir/chartes/nommage-fr_en#4

If you do not have such a domiciliation, there may be a couple of options.

What are the options in case you do not qualify AFNIC's conditions for owning a .fr domain?

Sealover, I am not aware of any scheduled changes to open up the .fr to everyone, but it is obvious that the AFNIC will be forced to go in that direction as that will be the only way for .fr registrations to grow significantly.

So this means that only people in France can register this domain at the moment?

They were supposed to open up last year as well but stopped it at the last moment.

Also the French registry last year put thousands of domains on hold that were registered through a proxy.
SO be careful when registering French domains.

hanogl, I am not talking about "that" type of proxy ;)
what EuroDNS did was obviously more than borderline.. they are an official registrar and offered for anyone to register .FRs regradless of the AFNIC policy. The owner pretty much registered over 3000 names under his name including tons of TM issues...
Im talking more of a one to one proxy, where a french partner purchases and manages the names on your behalf. In actuality you are leasing the name from him and this is totally legit.

Proxy service is possible.
Problem at EuroDNS was that customers ordered Trademarks which they did not own.
