I have decided to sell my network of UK directories.

The network includes these sites:
EssexLocal.co.uk
TheLondonArea.co.uk
KentLocal.co.uk
SurreyLocal.co.uk
HampshireLocal.co.uk
HertfordshireLocal.co.uk
SomersetLocal.co.uk
ManchesterLocal.co.uk
NorfolkLocal.co.uk
LocalSuffolk.co.uk
CumbriaLocal.co.uk
SuppliersNearby.co.uk

As you can see, these are more than directories (apart from SuppliersNearby) as they allow people to place a wide variety of classifieds and to manage their own links and publish their own profiles etc.

Other than approving links placed into SuppliersNearby and SurreyLocal (I haven't got round to converting that interface yet), there is nothing to do on a day to day basis as the users run the sites for you.

All traffic is SE derived without any advertising or promotion at all.

Revenue Steams
Revenue is earnt from:
Adsense
banners via affiliate networks
Espotting shopping directories embedded in two of the directories (neeed to be embedded in the others, but I haven't time to do this)
A small amount of direct advertising (£150 per quarter for a text ad on TheLondonArea)
Membership upgrades (£19 subscription/year via automated PayPal links)

The adsense earnings for August across all the above sites were: $831.96
I can't split out Espotting Revenues from my other sites but they are approx £120 per month.

There have been 8 membership subscription upgrades since mid June


Technical Aspects
All the sites except for SurreyLocal and SuppliersNearby run from the same database and use identical code. This makes it easy to administer and backup from a central point and very easy to roll out new sites into other counties.

There is no admin backend for any of the sites except for SurreyLocal which is cpDynaLinks based.

Domain details
Each of the sites has .com and .co.uk domains.

All the .co.uk domains are held at 123reg. (apart from SomersetLocal.co.uk and Cumbrialocal.co.uk where they are at NameCheap)

The .com domains are held either at GoDaddy or NameCheap.

The following domains are also included in the sale:
DevonLocal.com
SussexLocal.co.uk and .com
SupplierNearby.co.uk and .com

Reason for this sale

My business has developed rapidly and unexpectedly in another sphere and I haven't had time to develop these sites to their full potential. Unfortunately they are drifting as I cannot devote sufficient time to nurturing them. I want them to go to someone who can invest time and energy in developing them further, hence the sale.

Asking price

I am unsure how to value this network of sites so I am setting a starting price of £7000 (GBP) for them all. If you are interested, please bid from that price.

All bids are to be in £GBP
Any domain transfer fees are payable by the purchaser
Any escrow fees are to be paid by the purchaser
If paying via PayPal - we split the PayPal commission costs 50/50
I retain the rights to accept any bids at any time or to withdraw this sale completely.
If the sale is transacted after 1st Otober I would also have to charge VAT, if applicable (sorry)
