Any chance of us 'europeans' having an auction at a reasonable time for us. The normal auction time of 7 on sat night equates to 1 or 2 am Sunday morning GMT, how about a midweek auction say on a wednesday at 11 pm GMT = 5 pm noneurope, just a suggestion!

HI GRGR,

i think the stats speak for themselves... and there is no point pursuing the matter any further.

the only other request that i would make ...is to allow proxy bidding on future auctions, which would allow the remaining 25% to place their top bid. (while they are either asleep ....or full of malt ...!! rofl )

keep up the good work ... ...watch out EBAY ....LOL

klickster:D :D

IMHO a broader audience to the auctions benefits everybody,
even if it is just more 25%
Are people in US West Coast sleeping at 14:00 (22:00 GMT)?
If not, why not make a try and test the auction around that timeframe. Would that schedule decrease so much the audience from US and rest-of-the-world?

Talking about stats: what are the rush hours on DN forum?

Well, a few people do work thru the week on long shifts. Sunday is the only day I can sleep till 7 am, there is no chance that I make it all the way through the auction. If only it would start kind of 2-3hrs earlier - no prob.
One day I might make it...
Greetings from Hertfordshire and Germany.
Chase:sad:

in my experience gregr - those stats are terribly unreliable - most of them check which keyboard setup they have - im on american so i would show up as american instead of uk = just by posting in the forums it is clear that there are a large number of europeans

I was wondering the same thing. Pretty much across the board, all my sites have 30% less visitors on the weekends. Does DNForum follow this trend?

I dont even see Sweden on those stats, and I know of atleast 5 swedes (including me), who visit these forums. Probably alot more.

we gotta get a better time for europe, did'nt get to bed till 4.15am this morning and still yawning now!

More than %15. Besides, Europe has a very good potential buyers. What about a European first at Saturday 7 PM GMT and than Staurday 7 PM EST auction?

Probably because the statistics assumes that .com/.net domains are American. Many operators in Sweden (e.g. Telia) and in Europe use a .com/.net domain for their Ip-numbers.

Please, please, please earlier I'm exhausted and I didn't even see the end!

Well I think multiple auctions would be nice.

LOL these stats are for visitors and not for members. As a matter of fact, Tassos is from Greece and that's not even in the stats.

Regardless, I don't see how everyone will be accommodated easily :( For example, Australia is 13 hours ahead of the East Coast.

But I attended my first auction last night and it was way cool :D
