I need to air this out somewhere, might as well be this forum.

for years I was hustling.I had some legit jobs here and there but drugs money was my main bread and butter. I was making serious money with my team selling from 500 - 1,000 grams daily.clothes, cars, bikes, girls all of that. but inside i felt horrible doing what i was doing. by the age of 20 I had a little over 200k saved up.started a taxi business with a friend of mine.by the age of 21 it all went downhill.one of my friends got busted he had no money(some people have trouble saving ) and i helped him with lawyers, court fees, and bail money. i'm down about 90k of my money.lost my business and had no job at the time and was still living fast partying and stuff.i decided to go to vegas and play in the wsop put up 10k of my money and got bumped in like 6 hrs.plus lost like another 10k gambling cash games and sports betting.came back to ny with like 40k to my name. after that i told myself f*ck this lifestyle.i'm done with the street life.i took enough losses and want no more.stopped hustling and was living off my small bankroll.now i have a job and i thank god i never got arrested in my little run,but now i'm looking for more.i don't want to ever hustle again but i do want to achieve financial freedom without having to break my back doing it everyday.i want to use my mind instead of my hands. I just feel like i needed to air this out because i have a son now and i'm trying to do good for him.i'm going to school to learn web development and i'm hoping this domaining stuff and web design can help me achieve the financial goals that i want. so that's it that's a little about my lifestory.for whoever was patient enough to read this long thread thanks for listening.

hey man, im close to your age, live in the area, and do IT.. if you want to brainstorm ideas sometime, feel free to message me.

i wouldnt recommend chubb for web development.. if youre going to pay money for schooling, make sure its a degree. web development is something you could learn for free outside of chubb. there are plenty of programming/scripting books, forums/communities, how to guides online.. it all comes down to an idea and how you execute it.

It's never too late to turn your life around.
I turned mine around when I was your age as well by leaving the counrty and making a fresh start, for similar reasons as you (children).

go for it!

Thanks for sharing and for being honest. I don't think everyone with a similar background would be honest about it like you are.

Good luck man! :)

Coke dealers = scumbags = should be put on an island and nuked

Good luck, you'll need it given the karma you are dealing with.

Selling 500-1000 grams daily, I doubt he was dealing coke (unless he is Tony Montana).

hi

that isn't really the kind of stuff you should put-out, just to be airing, but i understand you desire to....free your soul

as i read it, the images from your descriptions are quite clear

in your situation, though you were lucky not to go to jail, the real luck is that you are alive to speak about it now and express a desire to follow a different path!

so many are "hearded" down that road ( ya heard me)

also headed but hearded as well, like sheep

blinded by the "clothes, cars, bikes, girls all of that".

- glad you recognized -

that you made that move
as you pick yourself up.
your sun can stand tall too

and don't forget to pull one brother out with you.

:)

your right biggedon i shouldn't be putting it out there.but one of the reasons i put this up here besides airing myself out was because i read a thread here saying how domainers are losers and it bothered me b/c i'm looking at this business as a form of wealth and freedom.i know about taking losses and i don't want to be considered a losing domainer. working a 9-5 sucks (well for me it's more like 7-4) and i don't play sports or rap so i really want to make this work for me. when i see guys like rick schwartz, ashley qualls, the facebook guy (did he actually turned down a billion dollar deal?!!?) and all the successful people on this forum i want to see myself in this same scenario.again thanx all for the responses.

ps. i re-edited the post.sorry for the greazy talking fellas

I need to air this out somewhere, might as well be this forum.

I'm 25 years old and for 7 years I was selling drugs.I had some legit jobs here and there but drugs money was my main bread and butter. I was making serious money with my team selling from 500 - 1,000 grams daily.clothes, cars, bikes, girls all of that. but inside i felt horrible doing what i was doing. by the age of 20 I had a little over 200k saved up.started a taxi business with a friend of mine.by the age of 21 it all went downhill.the guy I went half on the business decided to stiff the connect for 100k. the connect came up to me threatening and all that stuff so I decided to give him the business plus 50k from my stash. then one of my friends got busted with a bird (1 kg) and some bullet proof vests. he had no money(some people have trouble saving ) and i helped him with lawyers, court fees, and bail money. i'm down about 90k of my money.i decided to hit the highway buy some things and bring it up here to ny to sell.I took a complete loss on that investment and was down to 70k. i had no job at the time and was still living fast partying and stuff.i decided to go to vegas and play in the wsop put up 10k of my drugs money and got bumped in like 6 hrs.plus lost like another 10k gambling cash games and sports betting.came back to ny with like 40k to my name. after that i told myself f*ck this lifestyle.i'm done with the street life.i took enough losses and want no more.stopped hustling at age 22 and was living off my small bankroll.now i have a job maintaining subway trains for the mta.i thank god i never got arrested in my little run,but now i'm looking for more.i don't want to ever hustle again but i do want to achieve financial freedom without having to break my back doing it everyday.i want to use my mind instead of my hands. I just feel like i needed to air this out because i have a son now and i'm trying to do good for him.i'm going to chubb institute to learn web development and i'm hoping this domaining stuff and web design can help me achieve the financial goals that i want. so that's it that's a little about my lifestory.for whoever was patient enough to read this long thread thanks for listening.

thanks from your friend
cleverly"not so" slick

Thanks for share man...look like you are a real Hustler! ;)
With a son change all your life and you stop to make shit to survive and start to make some serious work...I know it for personal experience.
I know some guys come in domaining from your type of experiences...now they make big money with domains...the hustler mentality still remains in your mind.
Good luck with your next projects!!

Amazing turn of viewpoint dude - good for you! I've seen all that shit, I was in the music industry for over 20 years! :)

Anyway, honesty always pays long term - plus you get to know who your real friends are! I hope you give this a damn good try - all the best to you man!
