SteveK, this is your best name IMO.

Re the 2m google searches you mention: did you try those words in quotes as "Australian International" ? This would give you a better idea of how popular they are together. Looks like it's 25k, which is quite good and seems to be popular in Australia for a number of events. Sorry, I'm not good at valuations though.

search engines will NOT accept new.net domains as advertised..

For example..your "test.love" no search engine willaccept it..

you HAVE to include the new.net extension ...in other words the entire sub-domain that it is !

"Test.love.new.net" ..so why do you need new.net just to make a 4th level domain? ..

I reged 30 doman thru them in the "beginning" hopeful that new.net would be able to "talk" the se's into cooperating...but it never hapened ..all the while New.Net kept advertising that you could be "whatever.shop" whatever.Inc" whatever.love" .. ..when the truth is..No You Cant !

(this was just one of many issues with new.net domains but imo one of the most important..)

now keep in mind I was one of their biggest supporters..eventually they banned me from their chat room because I was pointing that New.Net wasnt making any progress at all with the search engines ...dont be suprised to see them fold in a few months IMO...

BTW..I am the only person EVER to get a new.net domain in the search engines as advertised..how ?

I signed up as an editor in DMOZ.. my domain was

"Transplant.med"

so by getting in dmoz..for a while I was in google and yahoo and others that feed off of dmoz..

Whois-Search: Do you suppose the European Association of Refrigeration Enterprises realizes that they should have the initials EARE instead of AEEF??? maybe they use to be called "Association of European Enterprise Fridges" haha anyway..would anyone reccomend emailing companies with the initials AEEF or does that set yourself open to legal problems...

I have noticed that AEEF also stands for:

I think i remember who you are in the new.net forums - although they did ban a fair few people :laugh: That is interesting about the DMOZ thing, why did google and yahoo drop your site even though it is still in dmoz?

have to agree that they don't stand out. New.net names are one rung up from .usa in my view, even .ws/.cc/.dx would be better.

Agreed. New.Net domain is not a good investment.

Their domains are not accessible by all Internet users.
No matter how they market it, this is very unlikely that they will gain 100% worldwide acceptance.

The 4 letter .com's could have some value (couple hundred to a several thousand) IF there are or soon will be organizations that have those initials.

Very few organizations have 4 letter acronyms. These drop by the dozens every day. I would not hold on to any of them hoping for a shot that long to come in.

A couple of cents:

New.net are not "official" domain names. They must be sanctioned by ICANN in order for this to happen.

If ".love" was an official domain name, then test.love would be a cool domain name.

But it's not - that's just the way it is.

Stick to .com, it's probably fifty times better than even net or org.
