I'm going mad!!

See the code around mad? It shouldn't be there of course, the forum should have converted the VB code to make the word bold.

This started for me 3 days ago. Every post and every PM contains raw VB code instead of converting it. It also happens to my signature in PM's - but the signature seems to work fine in forum posts.

I thought it was just me, since most people seem to be posting fine (their signatures links are working), however today I received a PM from another person who also had the code broken. So it's not just me.

I sold 21 domains through the forum yesterday, but it's much more difficult to contact buyers - because the payment URL gets broken!! I can live without BOLD, but I can't live with broken payment URL's!

3 days ago I contacted DCG - haven't received a response.

2 days ago I contacted impactadmin - haven't received a response.

1 day ago I contacted Scorpio - he said 'Have forwarded to tech support' (no response from them so far)

Today I created a support ticket, level 'Urgent'. But I'm not expecting a rapid response (it took days to receive a response from them last time, even though it was regarding a service I had paid for).

Anyone else noticed problems with their signatures and VB code?

Oh... thanks tekz. Before posting my message, I searched the forum for 'code' and 'vb code' and 'vbcode' but didn't find any references to this problem. Because your post and all it's replies don't include the word 'code' or 'vb code' or 'vbcode', not even once!! Your post does include the word 'codes' (plural), I should have searched for code*. Stupid VB should automatically do partial matching...

I've just realized - this problem is also affecting the iTrader ratings - I've received notification of 3 new iTrader ratings tonight, but only one has actually been added.

I originally posted this message in the Platinum Lounge section so that people could discuss this - with more voices, hopefully the problem would get looked at faster. But the message was almost immediately moved to the 'Suggestions/Feedback' section - not really a highly trafficked part of the forum...

Code has been broken since 4 days, and I still haven't received a response from DCG, impactadmin, and 3 support tickets.

Sending broken payment URLs to customers is the worst side-effect, not good for business.

5 days since it began, and no response from staff/support. Must be enjoying a beach somewhere, oblivious to the cries for help...

Admin & staff.
I already gave the instructions on how to fix the problem.

Let me know if you need help.

Johnn, if you look below every post it says "vB code is On". If this problem was simply a matter of admin turning off the code, then the message below should say the code is off. I suspect the problem is not simply that they have turned off the code.

It's the bb codes not the vb codes.

There are two places needed to be changed:
Go to VBAdmin:
- vBulletin Oprions
#1 BB Code Settings
- Turn the dawn things on

#2 Message Posting Interface Options
- Make sure the Enable Standard & WYSIWYG Control are on.

Doesn't seem to work. Maybe the forum needs to be restarted?

Please get it fixed for christ's sake. I refuse to bump my sales thread because it looks like a complete disaster with all broken codes! May I advise to contact vbulletin support to get it fixed!

It's ashamed to have this problems for the past several days - This is a 'paid membership' forums and it seems we don't get any customer service.

Also, by not fixing the problem - the whole forums look like trash with all the garbage codes.

Where is Adam?

Ctrl-Alt-Del usually does the trick.

Still not working :(

If it's not forum permissions - you sure bbcode is turned on in each forum?

Then it's likely the old message editor (the box where one enters a new message) is cached in people's web browsers - that problem I have seen before; while using the editor these days I notice most of the options like underline, bold, etc are just blank ... I don't recall the procedure for refreshing the editor for users, but anyways that could be where the problem is.
