The site is showing 3 pages of new posts for 4/11/2003 and I wouldn't call that dead - one thread alone has had 176 replies and 2891 views since 29/10/2003.
There are less of what I would call "superficial" posts (eg Who here watches such and such a tv prog or who drinks pepsi/coke) than on some other boards but the mainstream of domain posts maintains a good throughput.
When someone has some serious domain sales/wants it is generally DNF they make a beeline for.

I am also thinking I like the old, ugly design better as well.

The blue one that was here in Feb.
