I have lost out on 2 domains to Buy Domains this month. Both were great names that I had monitored months ago. One of them, I even started to monitor 6-8 months ago. I had them Back Ordered by Snap and I was also the highest bidder on Name Winner. But still they beat me to 'em. Goddamn.................

Well, maybe WLS will help after all.

I have experienced the same exact scenario, beaten out twice by BuyDomains.com (BathSoap.com and eRide.com). SnapNames gave me an explanation that they get about 75% of the names. They also said that the registrar with the most available bandwidth will get the name. I have posted on this before and have requested one of the tech guys give an explanation. Interestingly enough, Buy Domains is Iholdings or Domain Collection or

That's aggravating. I had two cool Snaps get renewed on me at the last second. I'm starting to deal with "Snap credit" in a very real way for the first time... what to do, what to do. Probably put Snaps on a names I don't care much about at this point.

if Snapnames success rate sucks and it makes people think that WLS is more attractive, Snap still wins. They have a big stake in WLS. Thats what I meant about being a bit ironic.
