Now that's just sad... at the end of the day she was still a person with weakness and strengths, vice and virtues, likes and dislikes like the next man or woman. She was no saint but damn- she was still a human being. I feel bad for her.

seller picks a friend (or could be himself, since buyer/seller were reg'd within 2 weeks of each other) and bids on the auction to pump up his other lousy domain auctions...which happen to be anna nicole names too.

There sure is a buzz (sextoys.info) about some of these scandal domains perhaps to clear the debt.de?

Think of the Seller Fees.

What fees?

he just files NPB that they "both agreed not to complete the transaction"

but even at 1% thats over $10,000 that gets tacked onto his invoice... but even that only gets paid every 1-2 months if you dont have a CC on file...

ah.. you are not thinking of this sale from a marketing point of view.

1. Seller Registers many Anna Domains
2. Seller fakes a sale at an outrageous price.
3. Sale Creates False Value
4. Buyers start to buy up the sellers other Anna Domains at a low cost, believing they are getting a bargain, and think they can resell for high value.
5. Seller makes a massive profit from the inflated sales of newly regged names.

Simple, yet effective.

True, but all the ones listed that don't sell the seller still has to pay listing fees, image fees, gallery fees, and BIN fees. Unreal.

No wonder ebay is such a cash cow. They make money whether something sells or not. Product they never touch, never see, never handle. Great business model. :approve:

i forgot a 0.. actually it was over a 10k fee on his invoice for 10 days, ouch.

nah, it costs a maximum $4.40 per listing for all that stuff you just named... ebay is one of the cheapest places to sell a domain... besides private sale of course.. you might not get maximum value selling on ebay, but its some of the lowest fees out there compared to sedo/afternic/etc
