Googles index nearly doubles and now stands at over 8 BILLION pages.

Do you think any other search engine will ever catch up? Should MSN bother developing their new search engine?

of course msn should, everyone thinks everyone likes google but there are alot of people who dont and prefer to use other search engines

Never underestimate the power of money. Microsoft can BS people about how wonderful their "search technology" is just as well as Google does.

As far as webmasters go, those who have good listings on MSN will think their better. The ones who do better on Google will think their better. The one sure thing is MSN search is going to get much bigger.

Microsoft will... it will just take time. Seriously with an unlimited budget there are unlimited possibilities.

it sure doesn't seem like anybody will catch up anytime soon.. as time goes by you can clearly see that google gets only better but of course the rest of the big engines right behind are yahoo and msn.. competition is tough in this market but never underestimate anyone, this are giants with lots of options and capabilities.. somebody just has to make a drastic move and try something new and hopefully get a positive response and set the bar even higher just as google did a few years ago..

I don't think they are going to ever buy that lol! Cause first of all it ain't .com and second its too long!
