Gues Should NOT BE ALLOWED in CHATROOM

I spend a lot of time in chat to talk to other members about domain sales, news, etc.

I spend almost 2 hours with one dude who I thought was a member, I kept trying to search for his membership name and could not find it in the database... i thought it was forum glitch...

the chatroom does not indicate if a person is a guest.. guest should not be allowed in chatroom... i spend 2 hours trying to sell him 10 domains, then he told me himself, he is not a member here!!!! and that he would get back to me later... i was shocked to learn, i was chatting with a person who is not even a gold member!

If any other member here agrees with me about blocking chatroom to guest, please reply to this thread.

I also agree they shouldn't be allowed and if they are there should be a way to have guest next to their name or be in a different color to let members know they are not real members.

I won't go into details but I know of two different people that have been going into the chatroom on a daily basis and are scammers. They are banned on several other sites for scamming people out of domains or money.

I agree re: provide Guest Identification in chatroom in-line-with it already being provided elsewhere throughout the rest of DNForum; & ban Gender Bending - not good faith.

i logged out, and chat does not work, im assuming, when you sign up.. you will have access.. registered members with out membership level have access to chat!? since the member told me yesterday, he has no membership , example GOLD, etc.

They may be referring to "Bronze" members who do the basic sign-up.

Bronze can read some threads and enter chatroom, but cannot post on the forum.

Its not that they're logged out. It's that they've signed up and not purchased a membership yet, I think those people are allowed in chat.

Are we going to block brozne members from chat? - i vote YES
since they are not serious enough to pay for a gold membership.. then they should be blocked from using the chatroom.. i wasted 2 hours last night...

I noticed there is a guy with id 'imansports' and he was involved in some LLLL.Com scam, but later he tried hard to make people belive that he didnt scam anyone and he was just working for the real scammer as middle man to buy him LLLL.Coms, now this guy is spending time in dnf chatroom very often and when I just joined chatroom his first question to me was.. got any LLLL on sale? lol He doesnt even have gold membership here to make a deal ...

I agree. This should be a security feature as domain deals may occur in the chatroom. People feel confident in dealing with DNF members, because they know they would not waste their paid membership for, but in this way many PP scammers can join thread and they would automatically be treated more trusted by members here.

I just went to chat as I saw imansports logged in there, I asked him for his membership status and he said he had not paid for any, so I apologised and said I would then put him on ignor. He immediately left the chat room.
