You guys are talking about scripting kiddy...
Ok, I agree with You if he only took down dnjournal first page, but looks like he took down NP for more then 12 hours, looks like deleted database etc...
This looks serious...

Hacker just simply asked for the username and password from the techsupports of Namepros' main data center. The hacker pretended to be RJ.

This is a quote from the last paragraph of that post:

-RJ- said:
By the way, the hacker is from Iran and calls himself the "DN Hacker". He is the one who defaced DNJournal on Monday and has threatened to take down other domain industry sites. NamePros was just one of several on his target list. I don't doubt he knows what he's doing and hope we don't have to go through anything like this again. The basic message he wishes to spread to the domain industry is: "do not report any hijacked domains not owned by you." There you have it.

Original bold, color added.

I believe RJ said he would be reinstalling the whole site today on a new box so that may be the reason it is down.

Has the hacker now taken down Godaddy & WildWest?

1-1/2 hr later update: Both were down for a while with canned maint messages. GD now back up but WW still down but now with 'The page cannot be displayed' instead of the down for maint message. WW been down for almost 2-hrs.
