I just want to wish a Happy Father's Day to all that applies. :-D Have a great day along with a few cold ones.

:O! *runs to get card*

what the? is it fathers day today?

Aplusmedia,

You just answered a question I had when I saw this posting.

I speculate mother's day and father's day were started by the greeting card industry.

Besides North America, where else do they celebrate Father's Day?

(I should know this. But, I don't)

Ohh jeez, you just reminded me also. Time to get some macroni shells and glue and head out to the post office. Hopefully my macaroni skills will make him forget about all the credit card charges.

That's sad.
I forgot all about it.
Well, my Son is too young to know, and I should have reminded him :-)
It's ok, I'll celebrate on my own.

we do here in the UK, i had a bacon sandwich and mug of coffee in bed this morning and some gardening gloves and a new suitcase!..

plus i have been able to lounge around the house all day watching a barn being built on satellite TV, the grandprix, some domaining (see my fathers day thread on here!), and not being nagged to mow the lawns or paint some fence or something.. and just going to watch the football(euro2004 of course not that terrible rough game!) with some cold ones.. (leefe blonde. and dark german alt beer)

later...

HELLAS OLE!!!!!!

Yeah, we should and could have played better,
thats the thing about us Greeks.
easy games, we suck.
We want it all.
Beckham watch out, Demis is coming...
and we will win England.
We will lose from France (the best) and from the Czechs.
ONLY.

It's a typical day here in the Sonoran Desert, 105 degress in the shade, so I will celebrate both the Summer Solstice and Fathers Day at the Community Pool/Water Park with my 2 Daughters and fabulous lovely cute 4 yr old GrandDaughter.

I'm sure it was.

Very smart marketing, my family takes it pretty seriously, and cards are literally "exchanged" to all the men in the family, whether they are a father, grandfather, uncle, you name it!

But at least I don't help the card companies and their ridiculous attempts at creating a new market over people's feelings, I just send an e-card :)

Indeed happy fathers day to all fathers around the world !

Seeker, Congrats to Greece on their quarter final qualification !

Regards,

NW

i bought a cake for my father ;)

Hmmm... here in Australia it's not Father's Day till the first Sunday in September I believe (or something like that ).

Happy Father's Day to everyone who is celebrating it! :-D
