Hey everyone!

Just wanted to introduce myself, I’m new to the forum and really excited to be here. I’ve been diving into the world of domain investing or domain flipping (still figuring out the lingo!) and I’ve heard this is one of the best places to learn from people who actually know what they’re doing.

I’m still very much a beginner: trying to understand valuation, market trends, parking vs. developing, and all that good stuff. So yeah, if you’ve got experience, I’d be super grateful for any tips, corrections, or even just a nudge in the right direction when I’m off track.

Looking forward to learning from you all and hopefully sharing some wins (and lessons from losses!) down the road.

Best wishes to all. Cheers!

Good morning, welcome to DNF!! Saw your Sedo screenshot (properlly blurred out) - you don't seem to be a novice ;)

Which domains do you prefer the most? Have you sold any already?

Hello @Helmuts

I still feel like a newbie in the domain industry, even though I’ve had a Sedo account for over 10 years.

For most of that time, I wasn’t really active in forums or other buying/selling communities. I mostly stayed on the sidelines. But recently, I’ve decided to get more involved and actually engage with the community.

I have sold a few domains here and there, but I’ve also had my share of rough lessons. Like working with certain “agents” on marketplace who tried to flip my domain below my listed price. Or registering new gTLDs that started with normal registration and renewal fees, only to find out later that once they expired, the registry slapped a premium price on them out of nowhere.

And yeah, I lost money investing on a few 3-letter .te** domains too. Honestly, those experiences are why I still think of myself as a beginner, there’s so much I’m still learning.
