Welcome, and sorry to hear about the lost domain, nrao81. That happens to more people than they’ll admit.

From an industry point of view, the first thing worth separating is domain investing vs. domain acquisition for projects.
Auctions and aftermarket sales can look attractive, but they’re very different games depending on whether you’re buying to build, to resell, or to hold long-term.
A lot of frustration comes from mixing those lanes early on.
