Hi,

Could you guys help me compile a comprehensive list of domain drop services?

So far I know of:

1. www.snapnames.com
2. www.expirefish.com
3. www.namewinner.com
4. www.nicgenie.com
5. www.namefox.com
6. www.dropwizard.com (just opened)

If you know any others, please add it to the list!

Also, have any of you tried to get a domain on 5+ of the drop services simultaneously and still ended up losing to Buydomains or another big speculator?

NameSniper.com will be up within a few months.

Not private, but limited in members.

Beta tests are currently under way and are looking pretty
good.

We're hoping to be online and 100% operational by Dec 2001.

NameSniper will be a NameWinner type service (bid for each domain) but due to limited membership it will have a high
registration % since it will not monitor thousands of domains
like the competition does. Also, only domains in the on-hold
state, or domains set to expire within 5 days will be accepted.

* www.xeus.com - is it down right now? I can't tell because I don't understand the language. How anyone ever gotten anything from them despite the language barrier?

* www.dropcatcher.com - seems to be down right now. Anyone have any feedback on them?

In my opinion, its not worth the $$.

Also, that other site, drop wizard looks like it
was made by a 10 year old kid. I couldn't even
read the main text, had to highlight it and still
had problems reading it.

Hopefully the services offered there will be
good despite the poor design.

Ehh. I'm not trying to bash your site man, just letting you
know how I feel. I think presentation is key with that
type of business and you're not presenting yourself
very well.

Then again your services might be killer and "the word"
will spread so that people won't look at your design,
only success.

I learned not to judge a book by its cover with Exody. Their
site might not be the best looking site in the world but
they sure have good content.

Let's not consider it competing but "spreading the gospel"

Seriously I have already acknowledged my lack of design skill on other threads. But with the possibility of WLS screwing the industry up it doesn't make sense to spend money on fancy graphics.

A lot of other sites have been built with a "top down" type of approach. Snap names for example was built by technicians that knew the drop platforms but not the "little guy" struggling to find the right tools.

I am one of those little guy's and my intent is to build this from the bottom up. With tools and accessories that everyone can use to improve their mining. Faster and less time intensive. I know what problems you guys have in the day to day processing of sometimes overwhelming lists. It's that experience that I would like to bring to the table when we add content.

I would love to see your site when you get it up and would be happy to offer you a link on our site. I truly believe that the more we expose the industry ultimately the more business for each of us. Including the resellers.

I gotta agree with you on that one. Actually, I'll agree with everything
you've said in the last thread.

The only reason I'm not spending thousands investing into hardware and software
for this type of business is because of WLS. Although most
say that it will never go through, I'm still worried.

I guess only time will tell.
