Houston Bound!

Been here a couple of weeks now. Exciting, fascinating, fun city (except for having to drive north on I-45). I must admit that I would be willing to move to Houston if the price is right. The condo I am leasing has a full straight on shot of Houston skyline about 3 miles out.

Speaking of the price is right...God bless Texas and no state taxes!

Jeremy Lin of the NBA (and a few other NBA players) live here as well as some of the Houston Texans. One of my coworkers was on the elevator with Lin Thursday evening. All he could muster up to say was, "how tall are you?".

Which hospital? My life was saved by the Hermann Hospital where I was a guest in the burns unit for seven weeks 32 years ago!

Unquestionably, you would not even recognize the place. That hospital is massive. All the hospitals here are massive. I noticed the other day while I was on the shuttle a sign that was ENTRANCE 18 just for Hermann Hospital. What ever they could not accomplish by building outward, the either purchased other hospitals or build straight up. St. Luke's is 30 stories. Craziness as all these hospitals and medical schools are all skyscrapers unto themselves.

Not that you could've seen too many happy faces after Houston Texans lost. If you got there before the playoffs that was good.- Hope you like heat and humidity - Have friends there and have been there myself and it can get very bad. -And I wasn't even there during the hot season.

Having lived in North Carolina for nearly 20 years, I am accustomed to heat and humidity. That doesn't mean I like it...just means I am used to it.

Very comfortable with mid to upper 70's allowing for quite a bit of pool time.

So, I did get to meet Jeremy Lin last weekend. And this morning I met Kevin Durant. Obviously a big weekend in Houston with the All Star game. Got Michael Jordon's 50th birthday bash about a half a mile from here in Houston Museum of Fine Arts. Got Jay-Z's party tonight with $100K tickets. Diddy got his own thing goin' down. Every major venue, hotel, ballroom, high rise is booked, rented, etc. Best of all...the Houston Rockets wives are hosting and having their own party right here in the building I am living having taken the entire first floor of the building. Gee, perhaps a fella like me can sneak in. Hmm....better yet, maybe I can drive Beyonce around in the $2million Bugatti she bought her man.

I met a luxury villas and rentals broker in our lobby when we were waiting on our cars. We actually talked about domains and websites.
