I worked with a couple of guys that released one of the first multimedia titles for Windows called "Composer Quest", back when "multimedia" were a series of extensions you needed to add to the Windows operating system. I was doing graphics and animation for their next product "Sing-A-Long", a kids kareoke product, in September of 1992. I think this guy in 1995 was basking in the after glow of the release of squandrons of awesome products for CD-ROM, just before they start angling toward the web in ernest.

I'm still waiting for the voice-activated Internet browser with GPS, speech synthesis, flat screen, WiFi, cell phone, DVD/CD, mp3 player, and artificial intelligence to replace the CD unit in my car. :) --Of course, I'm sure someone already has it. I'm waiting for the consumer version I guess...

You remind me of an article I read in the late 1970s which "predicted" that personal computers would rule in the decade to come. It DID!

It really wasn't that long ago that domains cost $100 for 2 years and couldn't be registered online. Of course there were only a few thousand of them.

...To know then what we know now and have the cash to do something with that knowledge.
