How often does Google PR update?

I've been linking with some sites which shiuld hopefully increase my PR, but when does it update?

Few PR 6 websites have been linking to my PR 4 for past 45 days, but till now there is no change in the PR of any of my websites. I have been hearing for the PR update for past few days now. I hope it happens soon

backlinks are updating again it seems for the 2nd time in two weeks. I am also hoping a pr update is soon. I have been privatley predicting on the 11th, so if it is happening then I am not too far off ;0)
