I am having a problem where I cannot access a site with any browser. I have had this issue before which lasted an entire week.

Any idea how I can fix this? I have deleted cookies but the site is still not showing up...

What site is it?
Do you have a firewall?
Which browser/OS are you using?

The site happens to be Snapnames.

I have had this problem last month which lasted for a week, where I couldn't access the site.

I have tried all browsers with the same problem.

Well, that's then an issue with your ISP.

Thanks

I will try to use a different computer in the meantime. For some reason I am getting these browser issues only when using domain dropcatching sites  I have had a similar problem accessing Pool and Namejet sites recently.

If you have a software firewall up, disable it temporarily.
The dedicated IP I posted above should have gotten you to the Snapnames page; therefore it's not a cached DNS issue. Are you on a direct connection via cable, or over a router? Ethernet or wireless etc.

I am using a Wireless router

OK. There is a chance you need to:

1. Reboot it (power down, wait 1 min, restart)
2. Configure it in ways that ensure proper flow of web traffic.

Disconnect your wireless router and hardwire your laptop/pc directly into the modem.
If you still can not connect to those sites, it could be more likely your ISP's problem.

I had this issue years ago with the ICANN website what I could not access and it drove me nuts. Finally the problem was my ISP (Time Warner) at that time, they fixed it in a heartbeat.

Hope that helps.

You can try this from the command line:
tracert www.snapnames.com
Perhaps it's a failure at some node in between

I tried pasting this into the Navigation bar "tracert www.snapnames.com". No response

I have found a temporary solution, using a Proxy, but I will try to reset the router. If that doesn't work I will have to wait a couple of days and see if access is restored.

thanks

What is Mtu?? :?:

google is your friend...

check that the mtu setting of your router is correct for the type of connection that you have, maybe try lowering it a bit to see if it resolves the problem. Incorrect setting can cause some sites not to load.
