I don't really know what is up with members recently but we don't seem to see anyone care to conduct the domain business anymore.
It may be because of the economy, the weather, the wife, the husband, etc... Who knows!!!!

People seem to be so anxious to wait for someone to make a post and ready to attack. We don't really mind about your topic and what you're talking about but we received ton of PMs about the dispute about opinions between members.

Then some members keep sending PMs and asked us why we did not ban the other person!!!!

We moderate the forums and run a business here, not a daycare center. Maybe you should remind yourself the reason why you are here so you can get back to your business and find a way to improve your product or service.

The secret is to look at the time that you stick your nose into some one else business vs. the time you try to conduct the domain business. It is ok to talk about something else but don't be obsessed with the bad habit of being nosy and step on some else foot.

If you read this post and agree with me then just say "I promise" and I will send 10 DNF$ to your account within 48 hours (sometime I need to sleep too).

I know it is not much but it shows my concerns about our members here and in this economy every penny counts.

I agree Johnn. There seems to be a lot of people acting unprofessionally. I've been seeing attacks going on in all directions and I wish it would stop. We do not want to come to handing out warnings and infractions for people acting like this but honestly, I've been feeling close to it recently.

A simple solution to people here - if you feel someone is harassing you report the post (do NOT retaliate). If it continues, go to your user CP and click on "Edit Ignore List" and you can add people to that. This way, you won't see their posts. Problem solved - the agitator can talk to a wall all they want and you won't get in trouble for any retaliations.

I can be a loud mouth in the political section, but I take posts in the business and appraisal section seriously, and treat people with respect. I don't try and devalue or belittle someone's hard earned personal property.

From here on out, I'll just hit report post, and move on...

Actually, that's a lie.
Whilst I come here for business purposes (usually seeing what's for sale, maybe slipping in a bid in one of my acquisition accounts before transferring it to a holding one privately), I've gotta say that this place is not exactly a bastion of good business practice or intellect.
If it were the latter, we'd have no politics section, and if it were the former, people would be using their domain riches to hire developers to make systems that would earn them more than simple parking ever could.

Hell, when I want real domain industry info, I tend to go to DomainState.
When I want to see what people are selling, what people are expecting, and to see how the fathead elephants and stupid asses are doing so I can have a chuckle, I come here (and V7n).

That's the thing. It's a forum, and a paid one at that.
People have put down good money for the privilege of being here, and one of those privileges are the Cafè sections where people are supposed to be able to talk crap. If they were just wheeling and dealing in the industry, they wouldn't be here at all. They'd be on the phone to people like Warren Weitzman.
